Troop 493 Tidbits

|** Troop committee meeting Monday April 23rd at the Grubb’s home: 118 Paxton, Schaumburg|
*Need Assistant Scoutmasters. Please talk to one of our Scout Masters. To fulfill obligations to the troop, the Scoutmaster, with the assistance of the troop committee, recruits assistant Scoutmasters to help operate the troop. Each assistant Scoutmaster is assigned specific program duties and reports to the Scoutmaster. They also provide the required two-deep leadership standard set by the Boy Scouts of America. An assistant Scoutmaster may be 18 years old, but at least one in each troop should be 21 or older, so he or she can serve in the Scoutmaster’s absence.

Once order is placed it will be approximately 2 weeks until delivery.
Money is due on delivery or at time of order. Will have some sample plain t-shirts available for sizing
Please remember to bring your Scout books and wear your Class A shirts to every meeting.
April 27-29: US Grant Pilgrimage Weekend Camping, BSA in Galena Illinois
Some of the activities include a Civil War and Revolutionary Re-enactment,Trail Hike, Bucket Brigade, History Hunt, Museums and Dodgeball. Every Scout will receive a patch – Please drop all your gear at Kevin McGraw’s house 979 Tiverton Ct. on Thursday after 4:30pm so it can be loaded into the trailer.

Scouts $350 and Adults $180 – Visitors $30 a day
Additional fees for some Merit Badges will be collected before camp and during camp. Sign Up & Pay by April 25th / $40 Late Fee
